Blue Cap AG is a Munich-based investment company founded in 2006 and listed on the capital market. We invest in medium-sized niche companies in the B2B sector with clear earnings improvement potential and growth prospects. With our cross-industry expertise, we support our portfolio companies in their strategic and operational development in order to actively increase the value of the company and later sell it at a profit.

The autonomy of our companies is at the heart of our investment approach. Corporate responsibility, sustainable value creation and treating others with respect are the core values that shape everyday life at our company. Blue Cap’s goal is to leverage potential for transformation and actively increase a company’s value.

Blue Cap is a temporary owner. The optimal holding period is between three and seven years. However, value enhancement strategies that are designed for a longer period of time can be considered in equal measure. In principle: The portfolio companies are sold as soon as successful performance under a different ownership structure appears to make more sense and Blue Cap has been able to successfully implement large parts of the planned programme.

Over the last few years, Blue Cap has used its corporate investment approach to put together a portfolio of nine SMEs. The various different sectors, sales markets and industry cycles that our companies operate in deliver a high level of diversification within the portfolio.
